Business Description
This is a well-established and respected distributor of premium engineered quartz and natural stone products in Texas. Founded more than 20 years ago, the business has built a solid reputation for quality products, dependable service, strong supplier relationships, and exclusive distribution rights, serving fabricators, builders, contractors, architects, designers, and kitchen and bath dealers throughout Texas and parts of Louisiana.
The Company's greatest competitive advantage is its exclusive distributorship of a premium quartz brand for the Greater Houston area, along with authorization to sell throughout Texas and Louisiana, where no exclusive distributors exist. In addition, it holds the exclusive distributorship to supply the brand's products to Lowe's stores throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. The brand is manufactured by a well-known company using state-of-the-art Breton technology and is recognized as one of North America's leading premium quartz brands. It is widely specified for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and institutional construction projects.
To further expand its product offerings, the Company recently added the distribution of well-known cabinetry products, enabling customers to source complementary kitchen and bath products from a single supplier. In addition, it maintains a consignment agreement with a major importer of premium natural stone, allowing the Company to offer a broad selection of high-quality quartzite, granite, and marble while minimizing inventory investment and enhancing product availability.
Over more than two decades, the Company has served more than 2,000 customers across the residential and commercial construction sectors.
The business operates under absentee ownership and is managed by an experienced General Manager supported by five additional employees. The General Manager dedicates approximately 15 to 20 hours per week to overseeing this business while also assisting the owner in managing three other businesses. The Seller, who is retiring, spends only one to two hours per week reviewing reports and communicating with the General Manager. To ensure a smooth ownership transition, the General Manager will provide up to eight weeks of training before returning to manage the Seller's remaining businesses.
The business generated approximately $1.6 million in revenue during 2025, with Seller's Discretionary Earnings (SDE) of approximately $123,300. The business is offered for sale at $450,000, which includes approximately $200,000 of normal inventory, $120,000 of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and $30,000 of leasehold improvements. An additional approximately $800,000 of excess inventory, valued at the Seller's cost, is not included in the asking price and is available for purchase through separate negotiation.
The business operates from a well-maintained 30,000-square-foot property that includes office space, warehouse facilities, and outdoor storage. The real estate, valued at approximately $1.2 million, is owned by the Seller and may be purchased together with the business or leased to the Buyer. Alternatively, the Buyer may acquire the business only, providing flexibility in structuring the transaction.
This opportunity presents an attractive acquisition for strategic buyers, distributors seeking to expand their market presence, or entrepreneurs looking to acquire a well-established business with exclusive distribution rights and significant growth potential.
