Hugo Gonzalez is an accomplished airline pilot, military helicopter pilot, and defense and space advisor with 20 years of leadership experience in highly demanding and mission-critical environments.
He has served for two decades in the United States Marine Corps and continues to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve. Building on leadership roles in the Marine Corps and the Office of Naval Research, Hugo founded Artheon Systems LLC, a defense consulting firm that helps industry navigate concept development, requirements integration, and defense acquisition.
Hugo is known for his disciplined approach, sound judgment, and ability to navigate complex challenges with professionalism and integrity. His experience leading in aviation and defense environments has shaped a practical, results-oriented perspective that serves clients well and helps them make informed decisions with confidence.
He holds dual master’s degrees in Astronautical Engineering and Applied Physics from the Naval Postgraduate School, along with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Florida International University. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval War College Command and Staff Program.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Hugo now lives in Virginia with his wife and two children.
