Sell Your Manufacturing Business in California
Every part number you are approved to make took a customer months to qualify. That is what a buyer is really paying for.
A buyer can lease a five-axis mill next month. They cannot buy your approved part numbers, certifications and customer relationships anywhere else. Transworld Veritage helps manufacturers show that value the way buyers, lenders and private equity measure it, and manages the certification, export-control, environmental and real estate steps through closing.
Free and confidential. No listing agreement. Your name stays private until a buyer has signed an NDA.

What a manufacturer sells for, and what decides where yours lands
Machines can be bought at auction. A spot on a customer’s approved vendor list cannot.
Size moves the multiple more than anything else, but two shops of the same size can still sell far apart. Customer concentration, certifications, machine age and whether anyone but you can quote decide where yours falls.
Three of those factors are in the check below. The rest are in the scorecard.
Typical pricing ranges by size
Smaller shops priced on SDE; larger companies on EBITDA. Real estate is valued separately.

Manufacturing sale questions
How long does it take to sell a manufacturing business?
Most sales take nine to twelve months from engagement to closing. Equipment appraisals, environmental review, certification transfers and lender approval all take time. We set a timeline at the start and run those steps in parallel.
Should I sell my building with the business?
It depends on your goals and the buyer. Keeping the building and leasing it to the buyer can give you ongoing income and a higher total return. Selling both can widen the buyer pool and simplify financing. We can model both so you can compare.
What happens to my government contracts?
In a stock sale, contracts usually stay with the company. In an asset sale, federal prime contracts generally require a novation agreement with the government, and subcontracts may need the prime's consent. Both take time and should be on the timeline early.
