Second Annual Charity Ascent Hosted By Transworld Business Advisors of Denver

Mount Sherman Hike To Support Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, Inc.

Transworld Business Advisors of Denver is pleased to announce its second annual Charity Ascent. This fourteener hike raises funds, awareness, and support for Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain, Inc., Transworld's philanthropic partner. On Friday, August 12th, 2016, participants will summit Mount Sherman in a unexampled fundraising opportunity. Following the event, hikers are invited to a post-hike party at Wynkoop Brewery on Wednesday, August 17th from 5-7 PM where they will be treated to food and non-alcoholic beverages.

This rare event has been developed and nurtured by Jessica Fialkovich, CEO of Transworld. At the time of its creation, Jessica was hoping to use this adventure-centric event to engage younger professionals with Junior Achievement and raise awareness of their youth based efforts in the community.

While the event may seem geared toward hiking professionals it can be enjoyed by both non-hikers and inexperienced hikers. For the non-hikers, there is the opportunity to donate, volunteer or join the party. Hikers of all levels can experience this event as Mount Sherman is rated a Class 1, Easiest 14er, making it a plausible option for beginners. Hikers will be split into groups of ten or less based on ability and will ascend via the Southwest Ridge Trail which is 5.25 miles round-trip with a 2,100 feet elevation gain.

The hike will begin at 8:00 AM and the registration fee is $100 per hiker and $50 per non-hiker (party admission) with a maximum of 50 hikers accepted. There is also the option for companies to sponsor teams of 4 for $500. The fee will cover an event t-shirt, along with food and non-alcoholic beverages at the post hike party on August 17th. Transworld encourages additional monetary and in-kind donations as this event supports local school age children, igniting within them a passion for free enterprise, entrepreneurship and an understanding of personal finance.
