Transworld’s 4th Annual Charity Ascent Raises $4K+ for Local Orgs

Rocky Mountain Microfinance Institute and the Commons on Champa Benefit from Charity Ascent

DENVER, CO, USA (August 13, 2018) – On August 10th, 2018, Transworld Business Advisors - Rocky Mountain, the top business brokerage firm in Colorado, hosted their Fourth Annual Charity Ascent in support of the Rocky Mountain Microfinance Institute and the Commons on Champa. The hike took place along the Chief Mountain Trail in Evergreen, Colorado for a 4 mile hike and ended in Idaho Springs at Tommyknocker Brewery for an after party sponsored by Wells Fargo.

Transworld believes that small business is the backbone of the Colorado economy and it is hard to believe otherwise when you come to terms with the 611,495 small businesses in Colorado that employ 48.6% of Coloradans. Because of their passion for small business, Transworld chose to support the Rocky Mountain Microfinance Institute and the Commons on Champa, organizations who both help small businesses and entrepreneurs develop.

The Commons on Champa is a charitable organization through the Downtown Denver Partnership founded to create a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in building an economically powerful central city (Denver). The Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute (RMMFI) is an organization working to create economic and social mobility through entrepreneurship by helping curious people transform into serious entrepreneurs through personal, business, and financial investments. RMMFI provides a simple and effective approach to business development built around the philosophy that poor planning equals poor results.

“The date of the Charity Ascent, August 10th, marked RMMFI’s 10 year anniversary supporting entrepreneurs in the community, so we were really happy to be able to extend our donation to them at such an exciting time,” said Jessica Fialkovich, President of Transworld. “I became aware of RMMFI, after their win as the small non-profit of the year at the Denver Metro Chamber’s 2016 Small Business Awards. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to sit on their finance panel and mentor entrepreneurs, and it is obvious they’re truly an impactful non-profit organization!”

The 2018 Charity Ascent, was the most successful iteration yet growing to 40 hikers and raising more than $4,000 dollars for two valuable community organizations. For 2019, Transworld is already looking forward to continuing the success of the Charity Ascent, raising more funds, and support for small business owners across Colorado.
