Ready to retire and relocate out of town, the seller had a clear goal: complete the sale as quickly and simply as possible so she could move forward with her next chapter. She had previously tried to sell the business on her own without success, making an organized, efficient process especially important the second time around.

In this case, finding the buyer wasn’t the biggest challenge. The eventual buyer was already a friend and business associate of the seller, but neither party had successfully completed a business transaction before. Mariner stepped in to structure the deal, guiding both sides through each stage and helping them understand what was needed to keep the transaction moving. 

From coordinating important milestones to keeping communication moving between both parties, Mariner managed the details that can quickly become overwhelming in a business sale. The transaction ultimately provided the simplicity and efficiency the seller had been looking for. With the sale complete, the seller can now relocate and enjoy retirement, while the new owner takes over a business they already knew and valued. What began as an unsuccessful attempt to sell independently ultimately became a smooth transition and a positive next chapter for both sides.
