Mark Irion, CM&AP

As an agent with Transworld Business Advisors, we help our clients buy and sell businesses every day. Every broker that is part of our team completes a full business brokerage training course and certification program. We understand that the task of buying or selling a business can be overwhelming without the proper guidance and skills. Over the years, we have helped many companies around the world with the buying and selling process ensuring our client’s confidentiality every step of the way. Our goal is to make the process as smooth as possible for both sides by relying on our global network of experienced business advisors.

Mark has led multiple professional services agencies in Washington, DC, and completed multiple sales of those businesses to both private equity and strategic buyers. In the course of leading the growth strategy for those businesses he also acquired multiple businesses and practice groups. Mark’s buyer and seller clients get the benefit of his more than 25 years of experience in leading, buying and selling businesses.
Mark’s process is to seriously listen to what a business owner’s aspirations, concerns and questions are about the sales process, as well as planning for life post-sale, and then work to assure that his seller’s interests are achieved. As an experienced buyer, he also loves finding businesses for sale that meet the vision and outcomes that investors seek, whether those are strategic tuck-ins to their existing businesses or career-changing purchases.

Prior to joining the Transworld team, Mark was the CEO of the largest independent lobbying firm in Washington, D.C., served as head of Public Affairs and Strategic Communications for public relations agencies and a global law firm, and was on the board of advisors for a national consultancy helping business owners with their exit strategy.

Mark believes good advice can only be given after truly listening to his clients’ goals, and then working diligently to make it happen.
