With over 25 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, and capital project management, Tom brings a practical, analytical perspective to every engagement. He's worked with startups, public and private international corporations, and small businesses alike, giving him the ability to understand what makes each business unique — and how to position it to maximize value. But for Tom, a business sale is about more than numbers on a page. Every company has a story — its culture, its people, the vision the owner poured years into building. He takes the time to understand that story, because finding the right buyer means honoring the legacy of the business and ensuring a transition that works for everyone involved. Tom is an active member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the Carolina Virginia Business Brokers Association (CVBBA), where he has served on the bylaws and conference committees. He also serves on the advisory board of the Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at East Carolina University and serves on the Board of the ENC Alliance (2025-2026). In 2024, he was recognized with the Transworld President's Club Award, the IBBA Chairman's Circle Award, and Executive Club status with M&A Source. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University. Tom is a longtime resident of Eastern North Carolina, where he and his wife Heather raised their children, Anna and Jack. When he's not working with clients, you'll find him reading, running, spending time with family and friends, or finding ways to lend a hand in his community.
