As a small business, we have built our company on a number of core values that we believe represent how we want to serve our community, how we want to act as professionals, and help us guide our service offerings from a solid foundation. Transworld’s core values are Tenacity, Learn & Grow, Be a Professional, and Small Business Advocacy. Today we would like to take a closer look at Be a Professional and reiterate what this means to us within the business brokerage industry.
When I think about what being a professional means, I think of someone I can trust, someone I would take advice from, and someone I expect to do the right thing when an opportunity to choose to do so arises. As business brokers, we’re in a position of high trust and when clients come to us they’re in a position of vulnerability. They’re ready to take on this big project, how to sell a business, where they have to share their financial information, trust our process, and our capabilities as an advisor to make their end goal happen. Or as a buyer, you’re trusting us with your dream of becoming an entrepreneur and we become the intermediary to allow you to make the leap and realize your dream.
To serve our clients well in selling a business or buying a business, we have to be accountable, respectful, and provide a return on what we say we will accomplish for our clients. Our business brokers have been small business owners themselves, and they know what it is like to be in the position of our clients. So we don’t take this responsibility lightly, and because we can see ourselves in each of our clients, our ability to be a professional for them is almost personal.
At the end of the day, we believe in small businesses and the big role they play in our economy, and we are honored that we get to play a supporting role in helping small business owners evolve and keeping small business legacies moving forward. To learn more about how our values help us serve entrepreneurs ready to buy a business or sell a business, we invite you to schedule a free consultation or visit our website today.
